Adversity has no restrictions on playing other sports, but there is an attendance policy.  You need to review your schedules and determine if you will be able to consistently attend practices and tournaments.  Attendance is just one of several factors that go into a coach's decision on playing time at a tournament.  Many Adversity players in the past have been able to play other sports and Adversity volleyball.

How much does it cost to play for Adversity?

We will provide parents and players the total estimated fee for the upcoming season on our tryout flyer.  The fee listed is a total estimated fee for the season that also includes air fare and hotel expenses for out of state qualifiers.

We include these expenses to our club's fees to aid and assist parents with budgeting.  We have found that parents are more appreciative when we present the total estimated fee upfront.   Typically fees are paid over four billing periods however, parents can make arrangements with the club's director if they need to spread out the payments over more periods.

What do the Adversity fees pay for?

Although we train hard and compete on a regional and national level, Adversity VBC is committed to the total development of our athletes and helping our athletes meet their athletic goals.

In 2005, Adversity VBC became the only volleyball program in the north shore area to welcome Speed, Agility and Quickness Coach Billy Gilsan, MS, CSCS, CET of XL'N of Sports to our training facility.  Adversity is the only volleyball club in the north shore to incorporate  XL'N of Sports Speed, Agility & Quickness program as part of our nightly training program.  XL'N of Sports is partnered with volleyball clubs around the country.  They are widely known for their work with Front Range VBC in Colorado.

Our commitment to the development of the total athlete has helped several Adversity athletes and alumni to achieve opportunities both in College and also on the national level.  Adversity athletes have been awarded opportunities with USA Volleyball Youth National Teams, Junior National Teams and even USA National Teams as well as opportunities to play in Europe in professional indoor volleyball leagues.
