I apologize for the delay in communicating with you about this summer's USA Volleyball Junior Olympics in Minneapolis.  We are thrilled to be sending another 14's team and I know this is going to be an outstanding opportunity for these boys.  I hope to answer as many of your questions as possible in this email regarding the event, but please do not hesitate to contact me if I miss something or anything is unclear. I have highlighted all important follow-up communication in red.  Please send me a reply email confirmation so that I know you have received this information.
To begin with, here is the roster of players that have committed to playing at JO's in Minneapolis from July 9-12.

If this list is incorrect in any way, please let me know ASAP.  If your name is not on this list, we are still expecting your participation at the Asics Junior Volleyball Championships at Navy Pier, June 19-20.  Please let us know if you are unable to make that event. Okay, here are some of the important pieces of information for this summer:
 
Practice schedule (tentative):
Beginning June 1, Tuesdays and Thursdays at Evanston from 7-9pm.
 
Tournaments:
The Asics Junior Volleyball Championships are June 19-20 (Mon & Tues) at Navy Pier.  Everyone is expected to participate.
USA Volleyball Junior Olympics (JO's) in Minneapolis, July 9-12
 
Competition Level: The team is registered in the Open Division for 14 & unders.  The event features teams from across the United State and Puerto Rico.  This is the #1 junior volleyball tournament in the nation.
 
Transportation: Players must provide their own transportation to the event.  All players are expected to arrive at the hotel on July 7th.
 
Hotel: All Adversity Boys teams that will be competing in this years USA Volleyball Junior Olympic National Championships will be staying at the Millennium Hotel, 1313 Nicollet Mall, Minneapolis, MN, USA 55403-2697.   The Hotel is attached to the sky walk which is connected to the Minneapolis Convention Center.  Parents wishing to make reservations at the Millennium Hotel can contact them directly at (612) 332-6000  fax: (612) 359-2160  or reservation: (866) 866-8086.  However, due to the demand for hotel space, the Adversity Boys 17 Elite, Boys 15 Elite and Boys 14's teams will be staying their first two nights (ONLY) at the Hampton Inn Richfield, 7745 Lyndale Ave South, Richfield, MN 55423.  All three teams, Boys 17 Elite, Boys 15 Elite and Boys 14's will then transfer to the Millennium Hotel for the remainder of the tournament.  The Boys 17 Elite team, Boys 15 Elite team and Boys 14 team are scheduled to arrive on July 7th.   The Hampton Inn Richfield is located 7.4 miles from the Minneapolis Convention Center.  Transportation to Minneapolis - All players are responsible for their transportation to Minneapolis. 
 
Tournament Fee: $425 covers hotel, tournament registration, coaches' stipends, equipment, and gym rental.  This fee is due before the start of practice on June 1.  Please mail check made payable to "Adversity VBC" to: Norma Hulett, 54 Michael Rd, DesPlaines, IL 60016.
