Lauren Van Orden

Lauren Van Orden was previously an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Loyola University Chicago, where she spent 4 seasons and ultimately signing two top-30 recruiting classes. She helped develop four All-MVC honorees, including First Team and Second team All-MVC, and two Freshman MVC Team members. Van Orden came to Loyola after a one-year stint as a volunteer assistant coach at Colorado State, where she worked primarily with the team’s setters for a team that reached the Sweet 16 in the NCAA Tournament.

As a player, along with being named a PrepVolleyball All American in high school, Van Orden was also awarded the Colorado Gatorade Player of the Year before leaving to start her collegiate career with the UCLA. After a Sweet 16 finish the year before, she guided the Bruins to a NCAA National Championship match her senior year in 2011, winning the title over Illinois. She also continued her career, playing 2 seasons professionally for VC Kanti in Switzerland and Lancheras de Catano in Puerto Rico.
